The kids big and small will love these cheese and bacon puffs in their lunchbox in fact they may not even get to the lunchbox they will disappear before your eyes.
They are a nice option for a savoury finger food and changing flavours is as easy as changing a few ingredients.
Serve warm or cold with a lovely relish or sauce.
Cheese and Bacon Puffs
Delicious cheese and bacon morsels that will have you going back for more.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Cheese grated
- 3 Rashers Bacon finely chopped
- 3 Spring Onions Sliced
- 1 Cup Frozen Corn
- 1/2 Cup Parsley chopped
- 1 Cup Self Raising Flour
- 1/2-3/4 Cup Milk
- 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 Egg
- Pinch Salt
- Pinch Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven 190 C and line a baking trays with glad bake.
- In a large bowl combine cheese, bacon, spring onion, corn, flour and parsley.
- Add the egg, mustard, salt, pepper and milk, mix well.
- Spoon rounded tablespoons of mixture onto oven trays.
- Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes or till browned.
- Cool on trays.
Notes
Makes 24 tablespoons size or 40-50 dessertspoon size for finger food.
Add or change ingredients ie: Salami, Chorizo, Roasted Capsicum, grated zucchini, grated carrot, sweet potato, herbs and spices.
