We love a good pasta bake in our house and this is a beauty, it starts on the stove top and finishes in the oven, you need an oven proof casserole dish that you can also use on the stove top, or use a fry pan then transfer to a casserole dish to finish.
You can use mild or hot salami or chorizo sausage to make it as spicy or as mild as you like, it makes for delicious comfort bowl food, and makes a large amount so there is plenty of leftovers for lunches or make two smaller bakes, one to eat and one to freeze for later.
You don’t even need to cook the pasta first, it cooks in the sauce as it simmers in the pan, how good is that.

Notes
You can make this just as a pasta sauce, if so leave out the water and the pasta and then serve over your favourite pasta.
I often make 2, one to eat and one to freeze for later, I don’t do the oven bake step though for the freezer one.
