Golden Sausage Casserole
Sausages in a delicious sauce

- 8-10 Sausages
- 2 Tbsp Plain Flour
- 2 Tbsp Tomato Sauce or Chutney
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Curry powder
- 1 Tbsp BBQ Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp Olive oil
- 1 1/2 Cups Boiling Water
- 1 Carrot, grated and/or Parsnip
Fry onion in oil in a fry pan until lightly browned.
Cook sausages in same pan until lightly browned.
Preheat oven 180 C
Put the onions into a greased casserole dish, sprinkle with the grated carrot.
Place the sausages on top.
Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the sausages.
Cover and bake about 30-40 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
Using chipolata (mini sausages) would be a great idea if you are feeding a crowd or taking a casserole somewhere for a shared meal.
Adding some bacon to this casserole is also lovely.
