I have a very well stocked pantry/fridge/freezer that has been created over the years and it makes my cooking and baking much easier knowing I have most ingredients stored to create a variety of dishes and I just replace them as I use them. I have joked on many occasions that we could survive a nuclear holocaust with what I have on hand.
Use this list as a guide as your list will be determined by your cooking preferences and tastes say if you like Asian dishes but not Mexican you would stock accordingly for example.
