Spiced Nuts

This is a great blend of nuts to eat as a snack, to serve with drinks or to give as a gift. The type of nuts can be your choice and if you like things on the spicier side you can increase the chilli content.

Spiced Mixed Nuts

A blend of mixed nuts toasted in spices

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Mixed Nuts – Peanut, Cashews, Raw Almonds, Pistachio, Walnuts, Pecans
  • 3/4 Cup Pepitas (Pumpkin seeds)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Mild Curry Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin, ground
  • 1 tsp Coriander, ground
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 tsp Sea Salt flakes

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven 150C
  • In a saucepan add all ingredients and cook over low heat for 5 minutes, or cook in Thermomix 5Min/80degrees/reverse spd1
  • Spread mixture over a lined oven tray/trays, bake 20 minutes stirring every 5 minutes until toasted.
  • Cool completely (nuts will crunch up when cooled) store in an airtight container.

Notes

These nuts are great served as a part of a platter or on their own.
Use which ever nuts you like and change the spices if you prefer. 
Perfect to package and give as gifts.
