Creamy Spaghetti Carbonara
This Creamy Carbonara recipe is a plate of heavenly, creamy pasta. Spaghetti with crispy bacon or pancetta in a super creamy and cheesy sauce. Simply delicious and so easy to make at home.
Ingredients
- 400 gms Spaghetti uncooked
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Garlic chopped finely
- 1 Cup Bacon or Pancetta chopped
- 1 Cup Cream
- 3 Eggs
- 2/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese + extra to garnish
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 2 Tbsp Parsley chopped
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions.
- While the spaghetti is cooking add the oil, garlic and bacon to a large skillet and fry over medium-low heat until crisp, about 8 minutes.
- Add the cream, cheese and eggs to a bowl or jug whisk with a fork to combine.
- Add the cooked spaghetti and parsley to the skillet and toss well to combine, add the egg mixture and stir into the pasta, turn off the heat and let the mixture cook in the residual heat, you don't want too much heat so the eggs don't scramble.
- Garnish with more Parmesan cheese if desired and serve immediately.
