
A recipe for homemade beef rissoles that are wrapped in streaky bacon, they are then baked in the oven in a delicious BBQ sauce. Using only very basic ingredients it is an economical, tasty and wholesome dish.
Baked Beef and Bacon Patties are made with added vegetables resulting in a succulent meat patty/rissole that cooks in the oven with a BBQ sauce. When served with mash and vegetables makes for a great meal, or for a more casual meal make meatball subs with Rolls and cheese.
Instead of making into rissoles you could also make it as a meatloaf, cooking it in the same manner but for 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 hours.

Ingredients
Method
Rissoles
- In a large bowl combine all ingredients except the bacon, mix until well combined.

- Preheat oven 180C
- Shape into patties of approximately 1/3 cup size.
- Wrap each patty in 1/2 a piece of streaky bacon and place in a greased baking dish.

- Pour over sauce and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

- Serve with mash and steamed vegetables.
Sauce
- In a large jug whisk together all the sauce ingredients.

- Pour over the Patties and bake for between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

Notes
Make as a meatloaf instead of rissoles but bake for 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 hours or until browned and the meat cooked through.
