All the lovely flavours of an Anzac biscuit in the form of a delicious warm dessert that only needs a spoonful of cream.
It is the perfect dessert to enjoy on the coldest of nights, using the most basic pantry ingredients so it can be prepared at the last minute.

I found this recipe on Australia’s Best Recipe site and added a few tweaks.

Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 160C
- Sift the flour and rub in the butter with your fingers.
- Add the rolled oats, sugar, coconut and spice, mix well.
- Combine the milk, eggs and vanilla.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Spread the mixture into a greased 2 litre ovenproof dish.

Sauce
- In a jug mix together the butter, syrup, sugar and boiling water.
- Pour the sauce over the cake mixture using the back of a large spoon so the liquid doesn't pool.

- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until cooked.

Notes
Serve with cream or ice cream.
